EC19 Infrared Edge Sensor

The EC19 makes it possible to optically and mechanically scan the edge of the web or fabric. It operates on the reflection principle, with both transmitter and receiver located in the same body. Working Principle & Features: • Light beams from two transmitters (5 IR LEDs each) reflect off the material and are projected onto a CCD. • A microcontroller converts the signal level into an output value (±10V or 0-10V) proportional to the edge position. • The instant edge position is displayed via LED light bars on the device. • Automatic beam adjustment system increases LED power automatically if the objective gets polluted. • Equipped with a mechanical error detecting handle for poorly reflecting surfaces; allows switching between optical and mechanical scanning during operation.
